Thinking of my mom today

I'd appreciate it if you'd remember my mom today. She goes in for cataract surgery (around noon CST, I believe) which will also involve some extra surgery on the left eye to create better drainage, because of severe glaucoma. My mom has diabetes and any surgery is of concern. She is mostly worried about not being able to eat after about 5:30 am and having to be partially awake for the surgery to lie perfectly still for an hour and a half. She would appreciate prayer for calmness of heart in anticipation of the surgery, and also for her recovery time, which will involve limited activity for some 6 weeks. Pray also that my dad would stay healthy and alert during this time, so that he can be of help to her as she recovers.

she can't eat but she can desolve Glucose tabs or sugar candy so she does not get a sugar low and she will be fine, assure her of this and speak with the nurses or doctors. they might even want to put her on a sucrose drip before and or during the event. She will be fine. It is a routine procedure.
