Well, my family does lead an interesting life. ;-)
I was starting to worry about my mom, because this evening I called them and my aunt and my brother, and no one was home yet. My sister was home but hadn't heard anything.
Well, my mom finally called a bit ago and she is fine -- but she had a tale to tell.
They went in for the surgery at noon, but the doctor didn't start the operation until 3, so my mom didn't get done until 6! Seems the doctor didn't have a trained assistant to aid her, so as she needed an assistant, she trained one as she went. =:-0
So of course it took twice as long. The anesthaesiologist (sp?) even had to leave before they got done as he had other duties! All this time she had had nothing to eat -- and they didn't give her a glucose drip like she thought they would because they said she didn't need it. Seems they were right, she was fine, but I imagine she worried a bit. Still, she managed to lay still for double the time, thanks to everyone's prayers and strengthening thoughts.
She's home now, and resting -- has a follow up appointment tomorrow. Oh, and get this -- she broke a tooth on Monday, right in front, so with her snaggle tooth and her black eye patch, she says she lacks only a red bandana to look like a pirate!
She laughed when I told her I wanted pictures.

She asked me to say thank you to all who were thinking of her today, she was very grateful for your support -- and so was I!
