You can take the girl out of Wisconsin, but you can't take Wisconsin out of the girl! As much as I've enjoyed being where I am these past two years, it will be pleasant indeed to be back in the Badger State just in time for crisp November days!
Ooo - preeeetty trees - Ours are just starting to turn, small splashes of color showing up among the green, the occasional tree who seems eager to get the show going standing out all respledant among more reluctant neighbors.
do you think its going to be crisp and cool in indianapolis when its our time to be there? i have a wool coat but think it might be too warm??? i'm not sure what hte climate is like down there but up here its crisp in the morning and down to short sleeves again by noon time.
I don't actually think it is going to be all that crisp -- maybe in the mornings, so a light jacket might be enough, or maybe a sweatshirt or a cardigan. I'm bringing light stuff so I can layer it if it gets too cold. The extended forecast suggests highs around 70 F (~22 C) and lows around 50 F (~10 C) for the latter part of September. Not sure how much lower it will go by the middle of October. One never knows in the midwest -- we could get Indian summer, and then we'll be roasting!
If you're prone to feeling the cold, then maybe bring the wool coat. I will keep you posted, though, so if necessary you can throw stuff in or take it out at the last minute.
