... is to survive with my good humor intact while I do an imitation of Barliman Butterbur over the next couple of days.

Prayer is about the only thing that's going to get me through, but at least I know I can rely on that!

Here's what all I have to look forward to this week:

- All guest rooms filled, starting tomorrow; I have 5 young men and 2 young women staying the week to attend a conference at our office. That involves providing breakfast and supper most days, and sack lunches. It also means driving around to various airports (at least an hour away) using other people's to pick up and redeliver a couple of the guests. Hubby will also doing that with a different vehicle at different airports for different guests. It also involves all the aspects of making sure bathroom and housing arrangements work for the young women in a house with an abundance of young men! I am feeling very motherly all of a sudden. :-D

- My regular work at the office has to happen along with all this; fortunately, I have no deadlines this week, but I do next week, and it would help GREATLY if I could get a headstart on the writing project due then, so that it is not another last minute deal, as it has been the past two months.

- Hubby has to write a vital report but he keeps putting it off to do other important stuff; I have to decide whether to keep badgering him, or just write the thing for him. Which would be faster, but I wish he would do it. :-/

- I am not sleeping well because of the heat and humidity. No AC in our bedroom, either. I need good rest so I don't crash before the end of the week.

- Our car needs to go into the shop this week to get the transmission replaced; life gets awkward when you don't have your own vehicle.

- Today my son began an "internship" at our office that may prove to be the saving of him -- he will learn discipline, how to work with people, how to take direction, how to ask for help when he doesn't understand something, among other things. and he has the kindest but strictest man in the office for a boss. (Yes, there are such people as that!) This will involve a lot of Mom making sure he gets going on time and doesn't lose heart when it gets difficult. I am actually quite excited about it, because he really needs this kind of help. He is actually going out tonite to a Bible Study with another young man from the office -- voluntarily!!! -- which will be a great way for him to make friends as well. Yay! Good things are happening. But it will still involve a lot of input from Mom and Dad to keep him to task.

- I really, really REALLY want to have time to work on my Boromir inkling. It has been weeks since I posted anything. I get ornery when I don't have time to spend on my inkling. A crisis was averted last night by hubby getting the message and he let me retreat to a corner long enough to get a few paragraphs written before a guest arrived. But I'll need more time than that if I am to keep my good humor.

I will make it through, I know. Hopefully, it will get me in shape for when I have to do the same thing in June... and July... and maybe August... Lots of conferences coming up this summer. :-/

Even though I had three meetings this morning at the office, it is still my day off, and I am going to enjoy what is left of it, before the crowd begins to gather. I think a little writing time is in order right now...

My day just got better! I just now got a package from boriel, and inside is a copy of Sharpe's Battle (one of my favorite adventures of Sharpe, which incidentally is dedicated to Sean Bean by the author), autographed by Bernard Cornwell with the following message:

"For Margaret - Welcome to Sharpe's Battle."

After I've done a bit of writing, I think I'll do a bit of reading! ((((boriel))))

Dear friend, take heart. Keep breathing, that's the key. Remember, your friends are with you. (Can't tell I watch too much LOTR, can you? *wink*)

Love you, hoping your week turns out ok ,and you find the time to take a minute just for you.
*huggles*
