... you take down your LOTR posters and put away your action figures. ;-)

I should be doing things like expense accounts and such today at the office, but instead I'm cleaning my office. I got in the packing mood over the weekend, and so I am continuing with that today. I will be able to work on my final projects better knowing that my office is ready for the next person to come in. All the projects that have yet to be done have due dates that ARE NOT today, so I am in good shape with that.

I took down two posters today, and put away some action figures I had adorning my computer desk at work. Superposeable Talking Boromir is still leaning casually against my monitor; he won't go until my last day at the office.

At home, I am slowly boxing up my other action figures, though my various Boromirs have yet to go in the box. I imagine I will keep one of them out to keep me company in the car, though he won't be good for much except giving me story ideas I won't be able to write down because I am driving.

Well, back to throwing things away, which is tons more fun than doing expense accounts and writing up my job description!!

*hugs you back just as tightly*

Did you manage to get your sleep schedule switched around without too much trouble?

Yep. I went to bed about 4 am, and slept on and off until about just half an hour ago. I think I'll be able to stay up tonight for work, especially since I'll be running around and no where near a nice comfy inviting bed...LOL!

Good luck with the packing today, dearest!

No, I wouldn't suggest writing and driving at the same time...

Hee!

I do sometimes get ideas for writing while driving, so I'm nabbing Doug's little handheld recorder for if some superdooper idea comes to me that can't wait until I stop to write it down. That'll also help keep my brain working so I don't get too sleepy while driving.

Is THAT! the Boromir I sent you for your birthday?! Wow! He is perfect! I'm getting one!

This is actually a picture I found on the internet for SPB; the one I have that you sent looks very much like him, except his hair is darker and his clothing is more subdued in color (more natural-looking, and mine has an elven brooch). However, the face is quite similar, with the same noble and stern expression. He's really quite glorious!

Hope the packing thingy continues to go well and gets done in good time. Cool action figure. :-) It's hard to believe moving day is almost here! Praying for you! And the recorder is a good idea. No writing while driving! ;-D
Love, Ladyhawk Baggins

What do your co-workers think of the posters and action figures? No one at my office cares at all about my hobbit calendars and pictures.

They liked my poster alot because is was one they hadn't seen before. My coworkers are all LOTR fans -- we went as a deparment to see ROTK!

ha! I should be packing yet I find myself doing everything else but! Granted I decided I'm not going to move until after the new year...sometime...but, it's never too soon to pack...right?

It's never too soon to start packing, but believe me, it all gets put off and ends up getting done at the last minute anyway, no matter how good your intentions are!

Are you moving to a new city or just a new housing situation?

I'm looking to move closer to Nashville. Now, I live about an hour from the station...that is really too far away. Columbia is about the same distance from Nashville as Madison from Rockford.

(((((((((((Lin))))))))))))). Good luck with your move. I know it must be very difficult for you. I know you will keep us updated and I am sure Boromir will put those wonderful shoulders to good use and help with the lifting.

Thanks, dear! It's hard to get it all together to move, but I'll get there in the end. Hopefully with my good humor intact!

Hello

I have missed something here. Why are you packing up your office and home? Where are you going? I am sure that you have posted it but I have not been able to stay caught up with my flist due to school. What is going on? Are you ok?

Yes, I am fine. We are moving from Pennsylvania to Wisconsin temporarily and then to Chicago. We will be working with our mission in Chicago the next couple of years.

Here's the link to the original post -- looks like you did miss this one, which is understandable. You've been busy as well as sick for awhile and it's hard to catch up after that.

The plan is to be on our way by November 4/5!

A Word, before you go
