linaewen | I'm a writer, not an accountant!

You guessed it, I'm doing Guest House accounts, and it isn't going well, because as usual I forgot to write down everything I needed to when people stayed. Which makes doing the math awkward. I am trying to reconstruct who stayed when with calendars, scraps of paper and my own faulty memory. Fun! I do much better being hospitable when I can just be hospitable and not have to charge people for it! This is one of the icky jobs I have to do today, but when it is done, it will be DONE and I will be very happy. ;-)

Edit: Drat. I didn't finish it. As usual, things came up. Now I have to take it home and do it tonight, as I am determined I will not be doing expense accounts tomorrow!

Two more days, and the first load of stuff will head for Wisconsin. DH is taking DS (Dear Son) and a car full on Friday, dropping off DS at my folks and then coming back for more. I think we are on top of the packing, but it's getting to that tricky stage where you have to look at things and say, do I really need this? Can this be shipped by Greyhound? Erk.

Update on my uncle with cancer:

He is scheduled to have surgery to remove his colon on November 11, unless the cat scan he will have on November 2 reveals the cancer has spread to his liver. We're praying that the cancer has NOT spread and that the surgery can go ahead.
