DSL!!!!
Yay! We signed up today, should be activated next week. Let's hope we don't have any disappointments when we go to hook it up or something.
Also hopefully coming to this house...
A job for my son. He's taking an application for Walden's bookstore at the mall today. He's never had a job before, and is pretty nervous about it, but needs the whole social experience of the working world as well as the money it would bring in. Prayers would be appreciated!

Date: 2006-01-03 09:29 pm (UTC)From:Waldenbooks was one of my former employers. I worked there from about 1990-1994. I wonder if they are still owned by K-Mart. Probably not. Anyway, back then my employee discount was good at both Waldenbooks and Borders Books which meant the temptation to spend my entire income on books was almost excrutiating, lol. I loved being able to help people by finding or ordering just what they wanted or suggesting books they might like or books for gifts. I was also there for the introduction of the Preferred Reader Club Card (the whole idea was originated by Waldenbooks). It was so fun when someone had an order worth over $100 dollars and I could tell them that they would get the card free (it was $10 then, lol and offered an imediate 10% discount).
I wish your son the best of luck! It makes me nostalgic, lol.
