I was given for Christmas a DVD which I finally got around to watching last night -- The Big Empty. Guess who's in it? ;-) As is often true of the Bean, he has a smallish role (as far as screen time goes) but it is a role that is nonetheless key to the film.
It's a fascinating film, very quirky and strange, but amazingly funny, too. Rated R for rude langage and innuendo, but otherwise quite enjoyable. DH loved it, and plans to watch it again -- it's one of those films that you have to see again, once you've seen how it ends, so that you can go back and fit all the other clues together with the outcome. Which is strange, to be sure!
Here are some caps from the special feature secions:

Oh, guess I do have some news -- DSL gets turned on tomorrow, so today we have to install it on the computer and such, and figure out if we can hook up Number One Son's computer to the modem using a network cable. Then we have to set goals for not being on the computer all the time because it's so fast and cool to download lots of stuff in only minutes. Our current dialup speed is holding steady at 28.8 KBPS, so we are more than ready to jettison that for something a little more reliable.
