Weekends are usually slow in the world of LJ, but I'm still here, and I have something to say -- at least to myself -- so I'll write it up for posterity and not worry if it is dull and no one reads it! :-) I want to remember how my ornery week ended!
I finally finished my writing project two days late, and got it turned in. Every month I am in charge of writing up the prayer bulletin that goes out to everyone for supporting our workers in prayer. I have to collect requests from all the fields and decide which ones will be prayed for on a rotating basis. This was my fourth month of doing it, and I am still getting the hang of it; the writing part goes well, but I have to stay within a certain length so it is only two pages long for printing purposes.
It was a real exercise in creativity at the end, after discovering it was 300 words too long! It was definitely a fight trying to cut it down to the right number of words without damaging the meaning. I think it was good for me, though! It's nice to know that it is possible to be brief and still get the point across -- I should try that when I'm giving a lecture to my family, they might listen to me more often!
I should probably take advantage of that brain workout and try to get some "light" writing done; that would be an enjoyable way to spend the weekend, and might keep my mind off being lonesome.
DH is gone this weekend until at least Tuesday, and I am feeling lonely already. I thought I would welcome some alone time, but I guess not. It just not the same around here without him. :-) And I guess that's the way it should be!
