Can you tell that I'm posting this using dialup on a Windows 98 ancient computer that makes my journal graphics all weird and Twilight Zonish?

I guess not -- but I can! Thus the "zindabad" -- which is a word that means "long live" and is used in Pakistan as a slogan of support (as for a political candidate) or as a slogan of extreme sarcasm, meaning the opposite of support. ;-)

I'm at my mom and dad's, and I have my laptop, but it's too much of a pain this morning to start up and hook up to said dialup. We had a lovely drive here yesterday in the best Wisconsin has to offer for scenery and weather -- and my newly licensed son drove the whole 2 hour trip. I only did a wee bit of backseat driving. ;-)

Had a nice visit with all the family yesterday, and today we are heading back home after we check out all our favorite thrift shops in the area. My hometown is located near the main center for Land's End, and so has a Land's End seconds outlet center. We have to go there whenever we can!

If this weather holds, it will be a crime not to go camping, so we are hoping to do a quick trip later in the week. My leg/foot -- thanks to much prayer, elevating, ACE bandages, arnica ointment and ibuprofen -- is finally on the mend, so I think I can manage camping now. As my hubby says, I can stay in the camp and cook while he hikes! :-D Stay in the camp and cook and read and write and enjoy the quiet, more like. But I think I can manage a bit of hiking, too. We'll see!

Later, my dears.

ooh...I wanna go camping. My brother went out to the lake with his buddy yesterday and got all sunburned. It made me jealous. ::sigh:: I really do need a time turner. I love being in plays, but I really miss the freedom to do stuff like go camping too.

I'm sure you'll get a bit of hiking in there--just try to take it easy!

Congratulations to your son for making the drive. I'm sure that you were very helpful and constructive, and didn't grab the seats and scream in terror even once. LOL! Someone did that to me the first time I drove with them, thinking that it would be terribly funny. It wasn't. Haha

((((((((Lin))))))) and hang in there with the scourge of dial up!

Lin Camping...now that brings two quick images to my mind. One, Samwise and Frodo cooking a brace of coonies and Two,Sharpe's men camping out in the rain of Portugal

Have fun dearest.

I am so glad you'll be able to do some camping! I know you and hubby have been looking forward to that!

Brave DS to drive two hours with his brand spanking new driver's license and his folks in the car! I used to be so intimidated to drive my parents anywhere, lol. Now if Dad says anything about my driving I just wink at him. I'm a better driver than he is and he knows it, he just can't help himself.

Dial up. Nooo! *runs screaming*

I love when you teach us new words!

Tell Nathan I am so proud of him!

Miss you, sweets.
