Hubby has plans today, wants to do stuff.  It's kind of interesting stuff, so I think I'll let him drag me along, even though I had half a mind to stay home and have a quiet Saturday.  But quiet isn't always his idea of fun, so I'll do quiet later.  ;-)

Possible activities today include:

- book sale at the libary :-D
- farmer's market :-)
- tour the old car display that is set up around town :-/
- jazz band concert in the park :-D

Some of these will likely be nixed if it is raining, but we'll see.  I'll join him for everything except the old car display -- unless he pleads with me, hee!

Talk to you later, dear ones.  Hope you all have a relaxing day of doing fun things for yourselves as well as with your loved ones!

Update on my Saturday activities:

The book sale was great!  I was able to replace quite a few of my favorites that had to be left in Pakistan -- for under $10!  Hardbacks, too -- whoo hoo!  The farmer's market was nice, too, though we didn't buy anything.  We had a look at some of the cars in passing -- they were interesting!

There is still the concert, which is a bluegrass band, not jazz -- I haven't decided yet if I'm going, DH might go on his own as part of his afternoon bike ride.  We'll see what I'm doing come late afternoon and if it's raining or not.  ;-)

On Monday evening is another concert -- the local symphony orchestra will be playing in the park!  That's more my style, though bluegrass is fun, too.

Enjoy your day, my sweet, however you end up spending it. (And I would rather like the old cars exhibit- they just don't "make 'em like they used to", and some of them were things of beauty.) ;-)
*hugs*

Hi! The book sale was profitable; I was able to pick up a number of books that I used to own, but had to be left in Pakistan. So now I have some of my favorites back. Yay!

*hugs back*

It was a nice, cool day to be out and about. I made some good buys at the book sale, too, so my day can be counted lovely no matter what else I do today, lol!

Book sales rock, don't they? I got a lot of my classics at book sales, hardback ones, as you said, great quality. I hope someday kiddo loves them like I do.

Sounds like fun stuff, and Doug is so adorable, how can you resist?

He really is adorable, just like a big kid! He was so sweet today, pointing out all the books he remembered leaving behind in Pakistan (with my permission), realizing I might actually want them after all. I managed to rein myself in and only bought the ones that were my absolute favorites, not the ones I had simply to complete the collection. I can get those at the library when I need 'em for reading. But it's nice to have the others back on the shelf again, like new!

Nathan, of course, is pleased as well. He likes what I like! I bet your kiddo will be pretty happy with your classics one day, too.

I love that shot of him. It's from a behind the scenes group of photos taken while he was doing National Treasure.

I'm waiting for an opportunity to use this fun behind the scenes shot of him reading his script while filming Sharpe's Challenge, hee!

LOL, that was as good a reason as any. He takes his work seriously, doesn't he?

I love book sales! Glad you had a good day!

PS-Thanks for the card and the giftie. They arrived yesterday but I was at work so couldn't properly thank you.

*hugs you tight* Love you!
