It's that time of the week again, Goal Monday, and I have a list a mile long. However, there's no way I can possibly do it all, even in a week, so my plan for the day is to make a new list, of things I definitely must do today, and that I can conceivable do in one day if I behave myself. ;-) Bite-sized pieces might make it manageable.
Today I will do the following:
1.Go for a walk.
2.Organize my desk.
3. Write a family prayer/newsletter. [worked on it a bit, but inspiration was lacking]
4.Spend 1 hour planning menus for my time of cooking for 50 people (last week of July), and come up with a preliminary shopping list.
I shall return at the end of the day and give a report on how I do!
In other goal-related news, my hubby and I have decided that we must have one day a week that is free of the computer, the internet and the television. We believe this will help us focus better on things we ought to be doing that get pushed to the sidelines when we get involved in the daily computer/television routine. It gets too easy sometimes to just take a wee break from the task at hand by sitting down at the computer or turning on the tv, and then next thing you know, hours are gone and your job didn't get done. This is just a little attempt on our part to get some control and balance back in our lives.
Wednesday has been decided upon as the day we will not turn on the computer or the television. I'll let you all know how our first day of doing this goes come Thursday. Frankly, I'm looking forward to seeing what I can accomplish with fewer distractions. :-D
