Hey, I got online!

I've been trying all week to get online, but for some reason, the wireless connection they have here at this conference center doesn't like all computers equally, so my old laptop has been shut out -- I could get on the network and read everyone and their brother's shared files that were on their computers, but could not get on the Web.

Until tonight.  I thought I would give it one more try, said a fervent prayer while the computer turned on, then said a fervent prayer of thanksgiving as I watched my antivirus program download a lengthy update -- a sign that I had connected with the Web.

And here I am.

I haven't much to report except that we are having a good trip.  The conference center here in New Jersey is gorgeous, the meals have been amazing (good thing I didn't go on Weight Watchers before I left!!), the sessions have been interesting, and things have been generally relaxing -- even our business meetings!  The weather was perfect today, so after the morning sessions, we went to the beach.  It was a nice time, though I couldn't really stroll at the edge of the water like I wanted to -- seems everyone else in the state had the idea to spend the day at the beach as well!

Tomorrow is our last full day here, then it is on to the next stop.  We won't be back to our wee home until middle of the week next week.

I went back and skimmed my Flist, so I see that many of you are struggling under heavy burdens -- your trouble has not gone unnoticed, my dears!  I am thinking of all of you, and looking forward to the time when I can be here among you at will.

PS Just so you know, yes, I still miss my baby terribly, but somehow isn't quite so bad now. I've so many wonderful memories, and it really was time, no doubt, no question, which makes it a little easier, especially since my biggest fear was blessedly overcome. God is good.

There you are! I was just thinking about you and wondering how you were doing. Glad to hear the trip is going well! :) You have probably noticed I didn't get to send you an email about Islam questions -- I was going to, but then things got kind of tight just before the exam so I didn't get time (and it was a minor thing anyway).

As it was, I didn't pull Islam -- I got Ethics -- and I managed an A, so all is well!
