It is a lovely cool day, overcast, but not dark -- and did I say cool? It rained fiercely the last two days, and that seems to have broken the back of the August heat. We'll see! It's a bit humid, but the coolness helps offset that. I think I'll try going for a walk while the sun is hiding behind the clouds -- the last thing I want is to get more sun on my already itchy body.
Speaking of which, I think I am feeling better. Thanks to 1) much prayer 2) benadryl 3) calamine lotion and 4) sleeveless shirts, I think I am progressing toward feeling more comfortable. I'm still very itchy, but it's more bearable now -- my family can tell because I'm not biting their heads off every other minute like I was yesterday! Thanks to all who gave advice, I'm trying all those tricks as well, so as to give myself breaks from the benadryl and lotions.
A cicada just began buzzing outside the window, and that is calling me outdoors for a walk. See you all later!

Today is the V Foundation Golf Tournament so outside my window there is a sea of golfers and press and special guests going by. It is very strange. I wonder if any of them miss my brother-in-law? He always had a party on this day and the golfers and fans could stop by and have a drink and mingle. Now the lawn is empty and there is just a lone woman sitting at her keyboard at the window to wave at, lol.

Basically, it's a skin allergy brought on by my skin reacting to sunscreen applied after I had already burned. I think. Just getting old, I guess, and my skin is more sensitive now!
