It's amazing how much I miss here being gone for just one day.  Yesterday DH and I had our "computer-free day" so that's where I was, if you missed me.  ;-)  I'm somewhat caught up with my Flist, but not entirely -- I'll try to finish getting caught up on all the posts I missed and owe replies to before the end of the day, okay?

DS and I went to our second Weight Watchers meeting this morning -- I lost 3 lbs, and DS lost 5.8 lbs!!  He got an award for that, bless him!  He's pretty encouraged, and so am I.  DH is playing along with the dieting and watching his points as well; he's lost a few pounds, too.  I've been having some trouble with low blood sugar in the afternoons, so I am delving into my extra weekly points allowance, but I guess that's part of the planning.  We'll see if I can keep up the good work this coming week.

One fun thing was that it turns out that a friend of mine from the Bible study we have begun attending on Wednesday nights goes to the same WW meeting DS and I go to, so we sat together today.  It's nice having a friend there with you -- I'm glad I have a support group with some of you others here, too!  Even though we can't go to meetings together, we still are supporting one another and that's half the battle sometimes.

In other news, Hubby is looking into townhouses and duplexes for rent -- I am beginning to think a duplex might be the way to go, if there is one affordable.  There is something appealing about the possibility of having a yard instead of a wee patch of cement patio, even if it does mean having to mow the lawn ourselves.

More later, perhaps; it's time for lunch!

re the sugar lows

at any pharmacy you can buy Glucose tablets and those are not points to consider.

or do like me and carry some Jelly Bellies, yes I know they count but 35 have 28gr of sugar, similar to a sugar pop/soda. Now 35 are alot but I find that even 10-15 will pull me outta a crash quickly.

no mention of the itch? better?

always miss a day with my twin not about.

Into Rifles now and I think that our dear Richard is the sort that falls in love quickly and is desperate for love and at the same time having problems with commitment. Poor Richard.
He is about to meet Sgt Harper.
Ripping good stuff

and from Prey poor dear Astrid and Ole! and the children of Copenhagen....on behalf of my Irish Blood line "Up The British!" bunch of buggerin butchers.
sorry

I was going to mention the itch, but I forgot -- yes, it is better. I still have a bit of residual trouble, but I think it's safe to say I'm over it. Whew!

I'm pitiful as a General here, I'm not keeping up with you at all! But I'm working at it. Boromir's got my attention right now, so Sharpe is on the back burner, so to speak.

Thanks for the advice with the glucose, I do need to plan snacks, I think, at least until I get used to the diet.

Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!! Congrats on the WL! I am so proud of you guys! It's a hard thing to do, but it makes it so worth it when you see that scale move!

As for missing you yesterday, I totally did! It's seemed so empty without you here!

Here's hoping that you have another awesome WI next week. Just a word of caution though. The second week WI is never as big. Don't let that discourage you though!

(((hugs)))

I hope you find something... there is something very nice about your own front door and a little patch of ground that is just for you. :D
