linaewen: (Irritated)
I came down with a sore throat and cough in the night -- and so did my DH.  We are both feeling a bit rundown and congested, with scratchy throats and sniffles.  On Sunday we went to two open houses conducted by the same realtor, who should have been home in bed he had such a bad cold -- we spent several hours with him talking.  Well, I guess it was catching.  Hubby and I are never sick at the same time!

It's not too bad right now, and I will do what it takes not to let it get as bad as that realtor had it!  However, we had arranged to go see my parents tomorrow for the day -- and I am reconsidering.  I don't want my dad to get this, who is pretty susceptible to upper respiratory things -- and it must be catching if we both caught it.  We bet we are in the contagious stage right now.

I go to WW in about an hour, we'll see how I am doing.  I'm pretty sure my weight loss continues, because everything feels a bit looser.  A  nice feeling!  I am sad to say that I  may have to stop wearing my puzzle ring from Pakistan -- it is going to fall off soon if this keeps up.  Which it better.  I'm not going to slow down in losing weight because of a ring.  ;-)

We are being shown another house after that by a realtor (not the sick one, though I hope WE don't make this one sick).  I talked straight with Hubby last night and suggested we pursue the buying of a house -- since the market is good and we can swing it financially at this time, and it would be a good thing for other reasons -- but we really have to renew our lease here for the wee apartment for a few months to give us plenty of time to make the right decision.  He seemed agreeable, but I will have to double check on that this morning!  He tends to want "to see if it will all fall together in a couple of weeks."  No wonder I'm stressed out!  In spite of all that, though, there's no one I'd rather buy a house with, hee!

Oh, dear. I hope you and DH feel better, ((((Lin)))). Congrats on the WW. Buying a house can be nerve-wracking but in a fun, exciting way.

Wow, you have a pretty full schedule today for a person trying to keep a cold in check. I hope you and your DH will tuck in when you get home and do some therapeutic resting!

Who knows, it may actually fall together in two weeks - it definitely will if it's meant to. Keep your seatbelt on!

I think you and your husband compliment one another very well. He stretches your comfort zone and you reel in his extremes, lol. I imagine it must feel like riding a roller coaster from time to time, but people regularly go out of their way to ride roller coasters on purpose. ;)

Get plenty of rest if you can and feel better soon, darling!

Maybe you could put the ring on a chain and wear it around your neck? Yay for weight loss!

No breaks for you guys eh? Now with winter coming and your system down you'll probably get the flu, pneumonia, bronchitis and die....or not.
I hope you find a nice home to recover in.

You can always have the ring re-sized, you know; you don't have to part with it.

And yes, stand your friendly ground with DH. I think your decision is the more sensible one. Renewing the lease for a couple more months is better than living in your van because none of the house possibilities worked out. ;-)

Feel better soon!

In my marine hobby, there is a saying that 'Only bad things happen fast' - of course, there is a big variable they forget called 'God'. :D

Prayer will hopefully lead you in the decision as to what to do. And if God wants it to fall together, it will!

Husbands do have a tendency to think like that, but house hunting is something one can only do with someone you really love, as it can be such a pain in the ____.

Really sorry to hear you both got sick at the same time. It cannot be a lot of fun around your house right now.

Wishing you the best get well and happy house hunting.

I like the fact that we are house hunting at the same time. We're trying to go slow, but interesting houses keep popping up. We're looking at a good possibility this coming Sunday. We had a bid on another one, but it was already in escrow.

I'm tuckered out just from all the extra running around and am going to bed with Sharpe. I am on Sharpe's Rifles. Can you believe hubby was done with the challenge a week before the new book came out and now he is finishing that one up and is almost ready for the next one? He is enjoying them so much, as am I.
