I recently read of a clever way to permanently deal with housework:

1.  Open a new file on your PC desktop.
2.  Name it "Housework."
3.  Send it to the Recycle Bin.
4.  Empty the Recycle Bin.
5.  Your PC will ask you, "Are you sure you want to delete Housework?"
6.  Calmly answer, "Yes," and press the mouse button firmly.
7.  Feel better?

Too bad it doesn't actually work that way!  :-D

I had my computer day off yesterday, and while I didn't actually get all my housework done, I did get enough accomplished to realize that taking some time off of the computer is a Very Good Thing.  I got going on my day early, and spent the morning doing laundry and running blankets through the dryer to fluff them for packing.  That involved quite a few quarters, lots of watching the clock, and much running up and down the stairs, but it was a worthy pursuit for the morning.  I got other things done as well, so I am feeling accomplished today.

Our usual Wednesday night Bible study was cancelled, so we had the evening at home -- instead of watching tv or being on the computer I read a book!  It was great fun to sit and read a paperback novel cover to cover; I haven't done that for awhile. ;-)

My good news for the day is that I lost 1.4 lbs to finally break the 10 lbs. mark in my weight loss journey!  It's getting harder to see a change from week to week, but I know I am making progress -- even if it's just a tiny bit, sometimes -- and I am also establishing more sensible eating patterns.  That is another Very Good Thing.

I missed being with you all yesterday!  Rest assured I have read all your entries, even if I didn't comment.  Take care, all of you, and may what's left of your day be a good one.

It's like my one of my favorite expressions: "I love deadlines. I enjoy the breeze they make as they fly by."

I actually get a lot more done when I ignore the computer...you don't realize how much time you spend on it until you do so.

Also, if I can restrain myself from endless napping, thats also productive =P
