Going out and coming in...
Jun. 9th, 2004 11:41 amI am feeling distinctly headachey and tired today, but it's my own fault and I'm not sorry!
:-)
Let's just say I spent more time than was good for me on the new Fanclub Message Boards. I have to say that, while I see clearly the disadvantages as compared to some of the ease of use of the old boards, I am feeling rather fond of them already. They are different, but it didn't take me long to figure out most of the gadgets, and that made it feel more like a place I could work with. Kind of homey, in fact.
I'm rather excited about getting Boromir over there, so I'll have to try to curb my enthusiasm long enough to do some writing. :-/ I am reminded of the days when I first discovered the message boards in the first place. I was researching Decipher to see if I wanted to spend the money on the Fanclub, and discovered the discussion board. Well, that was all she wrote as far as I was concerned -- I was involved 24/7 there for awhile. I'd never been on a board before, just barely had learned how to use the internet, but to be able to talk with fellow "fanatics" about Tolkien and the films was a dream come true.
For some reason, I am reminded of the following Psalm, maybe because of the "going out and coming in" involved in going to a new place...
( Psalm 121 )
