Away for the weekend
Oct. 1st, 2004 08:49 amI see I forgot to update my journal yesterday -- no matter; not much happened, except the usual day off sort of stuff. It was a nice day to be home. Rained a bit, then cleared up.
Today is a gloriously fine day to start the month of October. Crisp and cool is how I like it -- now if we can just have some of those fall colors... Wisconsin is my state of choice for looking at those, but PA is running a close second these days. Maybe it will even surpass Wisconsin, as we have no mountains there in America's Dairyland!
I am off this afteroon and gone all weekend, back sometime on Monday. I don't expect to get online while I am gone, but if I do, I'll be sure to say hi! Hubby and I are driving to visit a church a couple of hours away, to meet with friends, and take part in a conference there. We are the speakers for some of the sessions, sharing about our time in Pakistan and what we are doing now. We feel somewhat unready with our presentations, but that will quickly pass -- once we start talking about that place we lived for 18 years and the people we know there, we'll be hard to shut up!
If I don't get a chance to say it later, I'll say it now -- everyone have a great weekend!
