Back in the saddle
Oct. 6th, 2004 03:59 pmI am back from a very busy weekend; it was not relaxing, but it was enjoyable and fun -- once we got into the swing of being up in front of a crowd of people talking and speaking and answering questions, we did well and people wanted to hear what we had to say.
I had a great visit with my new doctor yesterday -- he is perfect for my needs! He had some good advice for getting control of my asthma, and in several other ways was able to totally reassure me that he was the doctor for me. Whew! Now for the dentist...
On a more personal note, I have much to be thankful for and yet, I still am feeling a bit like I am being crushed under a great burden. This is because of some projects I have put off doing (and some projects that others in my family have put off doing but I am the one who worries about them) -- this often keeps me awake at night. Why I don't think about doing these things during the day is a mystery to me! Also, I have recurring worries for the future that I can't do anything about except be patient and trusting and in prayer. Easy to say, hard to do.
But it gets a bit lighter when I can tell my friends about it. ;-) So thanks for listening to that!
