Not much to report today
Feb. 9th, 2005 03:21 pmI'm present and accounted for, but don't have anything to report in particular. No word from home, so I assume that means my dad is doing fine in the hospital. I will try calling this evening when I am likely to catch my mom and see if there is anything new.
But wait -- I just remembered, I do have something to report!
I woke myself up worrying about my son, who is living with us while he learns to cope with life in America (after 17 years living in Pakistan). He has no job yet and is no longer doing volunteer work at the office -- and he's also been falling back into some of his lazy ways (though some of that is due to the fact he's been sick of late). So I got up ready to read him the riot act and give him a list of things to do to help him get back on track.
But I didn't have to, he had already made all the same decisions for himself, and had his day all mapped out. I was SOOOO encouraged! :-D He may not get everything done he wants to, but the important thing is, he saw the need without having to be told, and he knew what he had to do to change, and he set himself up to do it. Much better in the long run that he start these things himself, anyway.
Now if I could just get motivated to do my work today....
