I have the best doctor
Mar. 31st, 2005 11:52 amHad a checkup today to see how my BP is doing -- yay, I'm in good shape at last! It's finally down where it needs to be, and that is good news. I also talked to the doctor about a stress-related tummy problem I've been having, and we had a good talk. He is soooo nice! He thinks it's IBS, which I suspected; I'm okay with that as long as I know how to eat for it. He gave me good advice on that, and also on ways to relieve stress and cope with stress.
Knowing something of me and my background and the kind of work I have been involved in, he urged me to not discount the power of prayer in relation to my health. He reminded me that God even wants to hear prayers about diarrhea if it is a problem! What an encouragement! And what a lesson for me; I'm ready to offer up prayers for other people's health and trouble, but I forget to mention my own. ;-)
The glasses seem a bit better today, but I'm still withholding judgement; my eyes don't feel as strained, but I still don't feel like I am seeing as well as one should with new glasses.
Smells like dusty pine in our house today -- Hubby is sanding floors. Makes me cough a bit, but it's not too bad. Thus far...
