Silence at last!

The infernal machine is gone, returned to Home Depot until it is needed again, to sand more floors with its loud, neverending grinding, grinding.... But for now, it is quiet and peaceful, and the ringing in my ears is slowly dying away.

Ahhhh.... didn't know I liked quiet so much! ;-)

In case you were wondering, Hubby's been refinishing floors, and we've had nothing but grinding and sawdust, and more grinding and more dust and loud grinding... all day long until now. Tomorrow it will start again in some form or another -- but for now, respite. Whew!
