I was laboring today after a fashion -- though it was fun, too, as well as doing something nice for people. The church we attend sponsored a Labor Day picnic in the community park -- more of a carnival than a picnic, really -- with lots of free food, good music, games, pony rides, face-painting, etc. I was most of the day at the table where kids could have their name written in different languages -- Japanese, Slovak, Urdu and Elvish. Guess which one was mine? Not the Elvish! It was fun, but hard after awhile to know how to write some of those kids' names in Urdu, when there is not corresponding sound in the language. :-/ I managed it, though.
More guests coming tomorrow, and they won't stop coming until the weekend. We'll have a full house again, sigh! Some of them are very dear to us, though, so that takes a lot of the sigh out of it. ;-) But I still have to make their beds...
Hope folks had a restful day today! I'm going to have my turn at resting now, I think.
