Lords of Gondor Chapter 29

Well, Boromir wouldn't let me go off on a new venture without doing one more chapter in his tale, so that's what I was doing on Saturday, instead of packing. It was time well spent, however! It had been far too long (as per my current rate of writing), and I hated to see the story not move on, though the tale passes through sorrow before it can do so.

Please humor me while I rant for a moment

The following unexpected yucky vegetables have been dished onto my plate today:

- DH's bus broke down near Toledo, Ohio so I have no idea where he is now or when he will be getting close to home. His cell phone is not currently working, so all I know is I will likely have to drive somewhere far away to pick him up, at some point today. At least, I hope it will be today.
- I have a guest who has to stay at the Guest House tonight.
- I learned by accident that the new GH manageress is arriving the week after we leave and that changes how I organize my moving out and how I arrange the rooms for the slug of guests who are ALSO coming in at that time.

On the dessert side of my plate is the fact that I have been able to delegate a few things to other people, so my loose end tying up is getting accomplished. The remain loose ends are proving elusive, however

We absolutely have to be moving out by Saturday at the latest, and I am so totally not ready yet.

Guess I'll take a break and go for a walk, back to the Guest House to get keys for people who are doing work there after we go, and while I'm at it, I think I'll just say a few prayers for composure as I walk. I shall try to remember that vegetables are good for me and make me strong!

Update on my day

Well, my day improved -- finished tying up my loose ends, got taken out to lunch at the Olive Garden, don't have a guest until tomorrow, and heard from the DH. I DO have to drive to pick him up -- it's about an hour away via the Turnpike -- but I'm willing to do that for my honeybunch.

There are still a few things and a few folk I am worrying about, but if prayer works to right a bad day, it will surely work for a better cause!

Gotta go figure out the route to the Greyhound Bus terminal in Harrisburg PA...
