The lines are open...

Thanks one and all who were rooting for our phone to get hooked up -- we tested the phone this morning and got a dial tone, so we are finally connected. That means we can get online at home, at last! We are still stuck with dial up, due to some unusual thing about our apartment building that seems to prevent DSL hookup (but our landlady is investigating that for us, as she says we are supposed to be able to get hooked up to DSL no problem), but dialup is better than trudging to the library everyday. I just hope it connects better in this newer building than it did at the inlaws house...

I'm at my parent's house today, trying to gather up a few more things we want in our new place. I had hopes that I would be able to leave what is left of our stuff packed and in order, but we have junk all over the place here! I shall have to come for a couple of days sometime and be ruthless with it. Seems like I've done nothing at all in my life except collect stuff and then move it around! :-D
