First, the chota mota...

I didn't remind Hubby about a no computer day today, because I don't really want one.  I have a few RW things that need to be done that involve the computer and printer, and I also have the Boromir Muse working on me, and I don't want to lose that!  I will try to be firm and do my deadline related stuff first, though.  ;-)

I am still recovering from the doughnut debacle of the weekend.  I am very hungry this week, lol!  But I am managing to keep pretty well within my week's worth of points, in spite of two big meals out in a restaurant on the weekend and doughnut day on Sunday.   I might even have lost some weight.

My son has still not heard about the job at the hospital.  He called them on Monday, and sure enough, they are still considering and haven't yet made a decision.  So there is still hope that he will get the job!

I really need to start packing, but I can't bring myself to do it just yet.  I need to get organized!!  :-D

Hubby is working hard on the house we bought on Friday.  He has discovered the chimney is more of a problem then we originally thought and it's going to take some new piping inside to exhaust the furnace as it ought to be done, before he caps it to keep icky outside stuff outside.  This guy I married never ceases to amaze me with the things he knows how to do just by looking at them and thinking for a bit.  He's doing all the work himself -- he hates hiring other people to do work, not just because of the money, but because he knows he can do it the way he wants to, and be content that it will work.

There are a number of large trees along the edges of our property that are dropping leaves like there is no tomorrow.  Two of them are a tree called a catalpa, which has very large leaves and pods that look like giant green beans.  Click on the link for more info on the Bean tree, which is one of its vernacular names.

How appropriate is it, that I should have a Bean tree in my yard????  :-D

Even if we are not moved in by November 14, I'm going to have to get over there and do some raking, as that's the day when the city will be picking up leaves.  I do like to rake leaves, actually.  It's good exercise, and the leaves smell so wonderful if they aren't too wet and icky.  Maybe I'll even make a pile and jump in them....

It's a link, that takes you to Wikipedia. I'll look for a photo, and post that as well.

A bean tree! *grins*

Mmmm, I love raking dry, crispy leaves (and jumping in them).

I am hoping they will be dry and crispy and not frozen or under snow by the time we get to raking! The weather is ahead of itself around here!

How pretty! Cool trees are so important! I will comment more later. I am doing training today at work. *hugs*

I hope you have enough leaves for a good leaf pile! That would be a perfect thing to do in your new yard.

Your hubby is a treasure. It is always comforting when a repair or project could be managed by my Dad and brothers because there are few strangers, however skilled, that would do a better or more thorough job. I wish I were handier. LOL, if they can fix it I will decorate it. ;)

Has Boromir been made happy today?

Has Boromir been made happy today?

Indeed he has. I found my missing notes and was able to finish a chapter I was writing, and Boromir was able to wax eloquent and be very inspiring. :-D

Bless your hubby! And of course you SHOULD have a Bean tree! It makes me laugh to think about it. I can remember jumping in leaves once, when I was very small and didn't care for it since I still hit the hard ground beneath and ended up bruised. I love that it's a great memory for other people, then I get to enjoy it through their eyes. ~~ LHB

Oh I love those trees! When I was little,I used to pretend that Jack would come down that tree and I also thought those were magic beans!
I would take them to my mother and tell her I traded the cow for the beans.
lol

((Lin)) I love moving into a new to me house! *congratulations!*

Oh, I do hope your son gets that job and there are no further unexpected problems with the house. These things always seem to pop up and take longer and cost more than expected.

Love the bean tree! ((((Lin)))).
