I did something different today!

I actually wrote a real letter today, using stationery and a pen. Go me!!! And I discovered an important thing -- it's not that hard to do, and I had just as much to say on paper as I do in a journal or an email! :-D I need to do this more often!

I'm really quite taken with the poem I found and posted yesterday (click here if you didn't read it by chance: Waning Strength. The poem does create a tiny bit of a guilt complex, I suppose, but that's good in my case. I'm trying to do better at balancing what I do in a day, so that a little bit of everything is covered, and no one or no thing is neglected. I still need work in that respect, but sometimes much of the effort in making a change is in realizing that a change needs to be made. Though one does have to get up and actually DO something sometimes! :-D

I'm going to get up now and go do something else on my list, but I haven't forgotten about this part of the poem:

The soul requires, needs, is nurtured by,
Those peaceful moments,
When the spark of creativity is given room to grow,
When love is something the heart is allowed to know,
When fun is a word well understood.
