Getting a head start on camping
Apr. 20th, 2006 05:38 pmI was really hoping to get some quiet time this afternoon and evening to test the writing waters, and see if my writer's block is still in place -- but my Dear Hubby wants to set up our new tent.
In the living room.
So we can lay in it while we watch tv.
This kind of unexpectedness in my daily life is why I have writer's block, I suspect.
Actually, I'm kind of keen to see the new tent -- we just got it today, on sale. I can't believe it really will fit 4 people, it folds up into such a tiny little carrying bag!
My hubby gets keen on things, and then there's no holding him back. While I was at my parent's house, I raided their garage and came home with a sleeping bag, a foam pad, a wee sterno stove and some cast iron pans for cooking. That's enough to start planning our trip, according to Mr. Lin. Next thing to be done to get ready is changing the registration on our car from PA to WI so we can buy a Wisconsin Park sticker at the cheaper rate!
