Chota mota for Friday
Jun. 8th, 2007 08:15 amYesterday was hot and humid, but today it is lovely again -- cool and breezy, with the promise of blue skies. We had pretty bad storms throughout the southern part of the state last night, but thankfully, we here were spared all of it but the rain. Even so, I had turned off my computer and was prepared to run to the basement just in case!
Hubby says we are going to go cicada hunting today; we want to see if they are still there where we found them earlier in the month. They are only out for a short time, so we don't want to miss our chance. My itchy sunburn is healed, so I'm not afraid to go out again -- though you can bet I'll take precautions!
I have an extremely long list from which to choose for things I could do today. But I'm not really going to look at it too closely. ;-) I'll do an urgent thing or two, deal with a procrastinated thing or two, and then spend the rest of the time on friend things and fun for me things -- which are often the same thing, lol! Friends and fun can't be divided. ;-) I'm finding that to be the best way to go through the day these days. If I only get a couple of jobs done, but have spent quality time with my friends (online and off) and family, and I have given myself time to read or write fic, I call it an excellent day.
Tah tah for now, my dears. Hope you all have a day that you can look back on and sigh with contentment, because it was a good day of accomplishment and encouragement.
I'll let you know how the cicada hunt goes!
