I had a very nice day on Tuesday, taking some time off the computer. I have a corner of my bedroom that had been getting quite out of hand, so I spent some time cleaning that up, and it was actually enjoyable to get things organized again. I got some other projects done, and a few more started, so the day was successfully spent.
Today is another day where I have lots of things I could do, but I'm not sure where to start, but start on something I will. I have JRR Tolkien quotes that come up daily on my Google home page, and today's is as follows:
It's a job that's never started that takes the longest to finish.
That's good advice for me today!
And another one from a few days ago:
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.
I think someone is trying to tell me something, lol!
I know, it's traditional on Thursday to share a verse, and these are not actually a poem or a verse, really, but it is good sound hobbit advice (even if some of it was shared by a wizard), and that's often the best way to be encouraged -- not only in a lightening of the heart sort of way, but also in a kick in the seat of the pants sort of way!
I've been given a nice amount of time today, so I think I'll go start a job and see how long it takes to finish it. And I'll make sure not to neglect the non-job aspects of using my time wisely, as well, because there's more to the time given us than just doom-enducing lists. ;-)
