Hee, this is so fun -- and so accurate!

What American accent do you have?
Your Result: The Inland North

You may think you speak "Standard English straight out of the dictionary" but when you step away from the Great Lakes you get asked annoying questions like "Are you from Wisconsin?" or "Are you from Chicago?" Chances are you call carbonated drinks "pop."

The Midland
The Northeast
Philadelphia
The South
The West
Boston
North Central

But hey, what's so annoying about being pegged with a Wisconsin accent?  I love having people know where I'm from without having to ask.  And yes, I do say "pop" -- or I used to.  My extensive travels have taught me to say "soda" now, more often than "pop."  Sometimes, I even find myself saying "tandi," which is short for tandi bottle.  That means "cold bottle" in Urdu.

Bet you didn't know "bottle" was an Urdu word meaning bottle of pop, did you?  :-D

Speaking of Wisconsin -- it is so easy to get a new driver's license here!  They still had me in the system and I have two years left on my previous Wisconsin wallah, so I got a replacement license instead of a new one, and it only cost $4.00!  The picture isn't bad either.

Pop, anyone?

Why, yes, thank you.

I also am Inland North.

My new license came in the mail and Mn has changed my license number. And I finally had the old one memorized. :/

LOL, well I got the Inland North, too and I have never been there. I am from New York, but maybe since I am closer the the Great Lakes than I am to the Long Island Sound, we can all agree that I don't have a Long Island sound. ;) Sorry, that was bad.

Coolness on easy renewal. Any state that makes the department of motor vehicles easy has my approval. But I do not know what a wallah is, lol.

Wallah is an Urdu word that basically means "thing" or "person" -- Wisconsin wallah is a way of saying Wisconsin thing, ie, the license. Or I could call myself a Wisconsin wallah -- or walli, as the case is, since I'm female. ;-) It's just one of those useful words that one can't quite stop using, lol!
