I had a good day of being off the computer on Thursday -- good in that I got much accomplished, particularly towards feeling more settled in the house, though not so good in that I kept thinking of people I wanted to touch base with and things I needed to look up online!  There are disadvantages to having all one's important info stored online, and having an inferior hard copy of it.  ;-)

The guests we were expecting Thursday night (part of the reason we needed the day away from the computer), couldn't make it due to illness -- so we are having said guests come by today.  That puts a wee crimp in my plan to get to the Post Office to mail some of those long overdue items I have for people, but I shall have to cope.

Thursday was also a good day in the weight loss department.  I am beginning to lose again, consistently (1.4 lbs on Thursday!), and I am now within 4.5 lbs of  my 10% weight loss goal.  Yay!  My son is doing well, too, so that's an encouragement to both of us.

It is cold here, like it ought to be in January in Wisconsin, but still no snow!  I like snow!  I don't like feeling cold, though, and I am feeling that right now.  I am trying to be flexible with my DH, who likes to save money by keeping the heat set low -- but 60 degrees during the day is a bit much.  Unfortunately for me, both my hubby and my son like lower temperatures!  I'm not putting up with 60 degrees, though.  I'm shooting for 62 at the moment, and we'll see if I can get it up a bit warmer when no one is looking.  :-D  We had to deal with cold houses during the winters in Pakistan, so I'm not too bad with it being cool in the house -- but too cold is just plain painful!  Thank goodness for lovely warm slippers!

Well, the day is getting away from me -- though I'm not going to let that be a source of tension!  Still, I do have some things I should accomplish before the guests come at 2 pm.  Funny how you can be all cleaned up on Thursday and by Saturday you have to do it again....

Have an encouraging sort of day today, my dears!

I could never live in your house. I complain and walk around shivering when hubby drops our temp down to 70. You have more fortitude than I do, my dear.

As to the whole house cleaning thing you are absolutely right, therefore why bother until guest are coming. LOL

Huzzah on the weight loss- you didn't mention that last night! *cheers loudly*

I hope you have a lovely and productive day, and good luck with the meeting of the elders. I'm sure you'll do just fine. You two are as close to perfect as anyone can get.
(((hugs)))

If my house were 60 degrees I would go live in the car, lol.

I am sure your visit will go well today and it is very nice to hear that your WW goals are getting closer and your home is getting homier. *hugs!*

((((Lin)))). I'm glad you had a productive non-computer day. Congrats on the weight loss! Sorry about the nasty cold! I can't stand heating, myself, but cold does bother my mother's joints somewhat. I'm sure I couldn't take a Wisconsin winter, though.
