I'm not having a no computer day today, mostly because the work that needs doing the most right now requires the computer. I am setting it up to be done on the laptop so I can at least take out the network card and get offline if I get too distracted, lol -- and while I am on the laptop, I am taking advantage of a more comfortable sitting arrangement to put a hot water bottle on my back. Our couch may be shabby, but it's definitely comfy for aching backs!
Ever since we moved and at the same time had to start shoveling snow, I've been having a stiff lower back. It's more irritating than painful, but it does disturb my sleep in these days and makes it rather a bother to stand in one place for too long or sit in our icky and in-need-of-replacing computer chair. The stiffness went away before (after the original injury) with regular heat/cold application, stretching and ibuprofen, so I imagine it will do so again. It will be good when the weather gets a bit more conducive to walking, because that helps; right now it's a bit icy for proper walking without slipping and jerking the back and making it worse!
So today I'm sitting around trying to get my brain around some "real life" reports that need doing. We have had a reprieve because of moving and the holidays, but it's time to work our way back to what we were working on before buying a house took all our concentration. The house work goes on, but it's not a constant thing at the moment.
The pink sink is no more, we returned it and bought another sink off the shelf. Which looked good on said shelf, but is too yellow now that we have it home. So, back it will go. We may try another store, at this point, but we are not overly discouraged. There are still some pretty nifty options involving the color white that we can fall back on, if we are willing to wait a bit longer for an order to arrive.
Hope you all have a productive and encouraging day today, my dears!

Date: 2007-01-24 06:32 pm (UTC)From:I am glad you are enjoying a little snuggly couch time while you work (and are distracted from work). It makes getting a laptop very tempting. I made a huge investment in my computer since I do design work on it, though, so I just can't justify a laptop at the moment. Maybe in a few years or after I publish something.
I do hope your back feels better soon and stops interfering with your sleep time. *gentle hugs!*

Your poor back! Mine actually feels better with all the walking I did over the weekend.
*hugs you*

Date: 2007-01-25 03:45 am (UTC)From:Wondering if there is some way around the sink fiasco? Like taking a pic of the sink you want then taking the pic home? Or taking a pic of your kitchen and taking it to the sink? LOL!
Love you! I'm so excited to go to Borders and pick out something lovely to read. (((((((you))))))
