Just a bit of this and that to keep us all in touch...
- The "new" cell phone is up and running. I was able to restore our backed up contact list this morning, so I don't have to try to painstakingly type in all the numbers again. Whew! There is one thing we can't remember how to set, so I shall have to dig up the manual from wherever it is buried -- but it's not an important thing, so it can wait.
- I am starting to get over my bout with low blood sugar, it seems to have helped to get some good exercise shoveling snow for a long time on Monday. Exercise is a good thing, though I think I should have stopped shoveling a bit sooner... Anyway, I'm feeling less voracious and more energetic, so I'm thankful for that. I will have to be careful, though -- careful I eat often enough and properly, but still with an eye on my diet.
- Unfortunately, I have gained back some of the weight I lost recently, because of having to eat so much to stay on top of this unexpected ailment. I'm supposed to weigh in tomorrow. Whatever! It will be good to see how much I actually gained, I guess; it doesn't matter too much in the long run if I have a setback, because I believe I can lose it again and keep going. It was one of those things that couldn't be helped!
- Yesterday was slightly hapless as far as getting certain things done, but it wasn't a total loss, lol! Today I hope to be more focused -- not to the point of being stressed out about what I have to do, but I want to at least be aware of how I am spending my time, and make sure it is properly managed.
- I have a meeting this morning in my capacity as the new church librarian. They are going to ask me what I think should be done with the library as they do some new building -- and I don't know! But it will be interesting to brainstorm about it.
- Today is Valentine's Day, but DH and I don't really have any special plans for it. We don't like to go out on the day, because it's such a hassle -- everyone else is out and it's hard to find good seating, lol! Maybe later in the week we'll do something. I might make Valentine cookies or a heart-shaped cake, just so we have something to remember the day by. ;-)
