Just for fun, I did an internet search on "to do list" and found some interesting things. One rather appealing link was to a place called tadalist.com, where you can set up sharable to do lists for easy access online. I am tempted to sign up! But would that really help me to be online even more than I already am? I actually think it would be much more satisfying to use my infamous paper lists, the kind that I can keep in my pocket or set by my place at the table, crossing things off as I go, and then throwing away when when all the jobs are marked out. It's a good feeling to look at a tangible list like that and say, "Ta da! All done!"
I have such a list written out for today, and while it's maybe a bit long to be accomplished all in one day, these are all the things that I vowed to do recently and have not yet completed. Some involve work in the house, others involve writing emails and working on the computer, and still others involve handwritten things. There is some reading to be done and commenting as well. It's all on the list, and I'm determined to stick to it today and see these jobs done. Whatever I accomplish today will be that much less I have to bring over into a new month of to do lists. ;-)
I'm feeling much better after a pretty droopy weekend. A quadruple dose of novacaine takes longer to recover from than just your usual one shot! I wasn't sick, though, so that was a blessing -- just very tired. I'm still a bit tired, but not so much that it will prevent me from applying myself to my goals for the day. It would be very nice to have lots and lots of things accomplished and out of the way before the next "novacaine weekend" rolls arond. Yes, there are more on the horizon, unfortunately.
Here's to seeing all our lists of tasks to be done in the waste basket by the end of the day, with everything marked off as completed!

at the end of all things does it really matter after all
do what you can and our Father will cover the rest
And I ask you;
Do you take on more than you should?
"There's forty schillings on the drum
for those who volunteer to come
Enlist and stand and fight today
Over the hills
and
far
away"

Today I'm taking my 40 shillings and will do what I can.
