I'm off to learn about hobbits

I'm out for the day, going to hear a lecture by a Tolkien scholar at Marquette University, the home of a fantastic collection of Tolkien manuscripts!  It might even turn into a moot, so that will be fun, too.  ;-)

I am sooo looking forward to your full account! I kick myself that when I used to take lots of lit classes I never thought to take Tolkien, but I guess you're showing me it's never too late for that sort of thing.
