If something's not working, I can always count on my hubby to fix it. If he can read about it and take it apart, he can fix it without fail.
As you may know, we've been having troube with our furnace -- which started when they came to overhaul it for a new winter season of use. I won't go into details, but let's just say my hubby knows more than the guy who came to fix the thing. *beams*
DH found a manual online for our old oil-burning thing and figured out how to reset the things that he figured needed resetting (just by looking at the innards of the furnace) -- and which the fixit dude should have taken care of the first time around, after he replaced a part. It works better than it did last year, too, because it doesn't smell like oil burning when it starts up!
Anyway, thanks to DH, we are ready for winter now -- though I'd still like to have autumn come through first. I hear we might have it next week...
BTW, it was almost 80 degrees today. I wonder if that's a record high for this time of year?
