Taking his axe the Dwarf now cut several branches. These they lashed together with bowstrings, and spread their cloaks upon the frame. Upon this rough bier they carried the body of their companion to the shore, together with such trophies of his last battle as they chose to send forth with him. It was only a short way, yet they found it no easy task, for Boromir was a man both tall and strong.
At the water-side Aragorn remained, watching the bier...The Two Towers, Chapter 1, The Departure of Boromir

read at that site)
Sometime ago I began writing
The Darkness of Amon Hen
It is as a result of a very vivid
dream I had and it features a very much
alive, although badly wounded, Boromir,
following the battle.....
I am currently on chapter three and am
trying to determine if I want to continue.

Date: 2008-03-01 03:30 pm (UTC)From:They lay on couches similar to the one Theodred lay on as he was dying, but they were in a huge, very airy room, similar to the one which Elrond and Gandalf were standing in as they looked out over Rivendell in FOTR.
I believe Boromir and Aragorn were at Gondor, not Rivendell, as the latter was too far from Amon Hen. There did not appear to be nobody else in the large, well lit room with them (how could they just leave them alone???)......Aragorn appears to be unconscious, but Boromir is conscious and looks over at him and then tries to get up. He manages with great difficulty; when he does, he staggers over to Aragorn, pleading with him to get well, telling him he is king of Gondor. Gondor needs him.
Then my alarm went off
