Some people on my friends list are doing a Share Your View post today. I was going to take a picture from my back deck of my garden or something, but decided instead to share another sort of view. I hope it's not considered cheating to share a view that is of a scene that is NEAR my house, but not actually part of my own little space!
This is a picture taken from the bridge that is about a mile from our house, of the river-side park I often walk to when I am out for a stroll. The evenly-spaced lines at the forefront are all that is visible of the parking lot. Our city is currently under a state of emergency due to flooding, and while our house is not in danger, there are quite a few place in low-lying areas that are in danger from the river.
As you can see, it is not open for strolling at the moment! Unless, of course, you are a blue heron.... Hopefully you can see him there under the tree!
