The voting for the Middle-Earth Fanfiction Awards is complete as of yesterday, and I am happy to say I made my reviewing goal! That's not to say it was a very high goal, nor that I reviewed everything I wanted to, alas! Even though there was plenty of time for reviewing, I still got behind and sidetracked by the RW, and ran out of time at the end. Thankfully, I can still read all those tales I didn't have time for, but I feel bad that I didn't get a chance to review them when it might actually count in ways other than general encouragement!
I had four tales of my own nominated and I am flabbergasted to learn that they all won an award! *grins uncontrollably*
Here's how I did in the 2008 MEFA's:
Fennas Haradren received First Place in Genres: Adventure: General
Feet That Wander received First Place in Races: Cross-Cultural: General
A Great Evil Unmade received Second Place in Genres: Alternate Universe:
Steward's Family
The Best Sword Ever received Third Place in Times: Mid Third Age: General
When I get my award banners for these tales, I'll post them so that they link to the stories themselves. :-)
In other news, I totally have laryngitis. I can talk, but I never know whether sound will come out or not. It's quite amusing, actually. I am now entering Day 4 of this burden. It makes it hard to squee over my MEFA blessings when I can hardly eke out a squeak. ;-)

Date: 2008-12-02 06:19 am (UTC)From:I am so sorry to hear about your cold. I remember you writing recently about your flu shot. That reminded me that I needed to get one so hubby and I did and I proceeded to get sick from it. Up and down, up and down -- Would get real sick for a couple hours then it would go away and then come back again and then wane. It was like a roller coaster the whole week before Thanksgiving, each time I'd come back a little stronger. It's going to be a doozy of a flu season!
