As it happens, my mom's maiden name was Jones, and since people are having to run to keep up with me lately, it seems an appropriate subject for a quick update!

In the past week I have:
- been sick for a whole week with a fairly wretched cold
- got my energy back on Tuesday, and have been running since then, teaching English and citizenship, writing a newsletter for our Center, and generally doing all kinds of stuff that I get tired just thinking about long enough to list it, lol! Yay for the energy to keep up with it all!
- Still have a bit of a cough and some asthma as a result of the icky rain and my cold, but I'll be all right.
- drive to the suburbs to attend my second ESL workshop -- this afternoon, actually. I'm staying in a hotel this time so I can have some quiet -- and so I can do my homework, since I haven't had a chance to do any of the readings yet! I'm looking forward to being a student again this weekend, it will be interesting and fun!
- On Sunday I am driving to Wisconsin in order to take care of my dad and my brother -- my brother is the caregiver for my dad, but he's been very ill this whole week, possibly with the dreaded H1N1 flu. :-/
- I plan to stop to have lunch with my son on the way to my dad's, so that will be nice! I should get to my dad's sometime Sunday afternoon, and I plan to be there until probably Thursday. That will give my brother time to recover from his illness and not have to worry about taking care of my dad -- or giving him whatever he has been sick with! I also plan to make sure my brother has everything he needs to get well, since I can just imagine he actually has no food in the house or even any aspirin for his fever. I shall also see what I can do as oldest sister in keeping him from going back to work too soon!
- drive back to Chicago to fetch DH, who will certainly need a vacation by then, and then we will both drive back up to Wisconsin for our planned weekend with our son -- who actually has a day off next Saturday! McD's is loath to let their people have Saturdays off. ;-)
- Our big plan for that weekend is to rake leaves. We have some major huge trees in our yard that drop some pretty sizable leaves, and they've been collecting so that the house will soon be buried if we don't do something about it. Raking leaves is one of my favorite things to do, so hopefully the weather will be nice and not rainy, so we can enjoy ourselves.

I pray for you and yours daily my friend and twinner
