It was a year ago today, I believe, that the bombing began in Iraq, and that was the day the Pakistani government signed the paper that said no to our request for special permission to return to the home they had said we had to leave because foreigners were not allowed to reside in that district. It was shortly afterwards that we decided to return to the States for a time. And we're still here.

A whole year, sheesh!

Our teammates returned just the other day, but the government has written in their visa that they cannot go to the town where we lived and worked together.

Interesting things going on in Pakistan these days; it sounds dangerous, but I don't care -- I still wish I was there. It's hard to forget 18 years of living in a place.

Oh, well -- all in God's timing. We'll get back sooner or later; I can wait. In the meantime, it's not like I'm not enjoying myself!

That is so sad! Why things like war and strife have to happen in the world boggles my mind and makes me sad.
We must hold true to each other.....*hugs you tight*

God has plans for you....great plans. More than you could hope for or dream of yourself. I know this as surely as i know how much we mean to each other. Its just hard sometimes to wait and let Him do the work.

I remember when you were over there and things were getting kind of scary. I remember too when the school was bombed. I remember worrying about you and Doug and what would happen.

I also remember our first Ren Faire trip together. I remember pictures in front of the Hobbity hole and big turkey legs!

There are some nice ones there; I'll nab one sometime!

I can make thumbnails easily on my desktop, and now I am trying to find the CD to install that program on my laptop. I don't know how to do the fancy ones that change like a slideshow, but maybe someday...

I'm thinking of fiddling with some of my favorite Boromir pictures to get a little variety. I only get 3 choices at a time, since my account is free, but it's easy enough to switch 'em!
