Back on Track

I got my computer back to normal, yay!  Well, almost normal.  There are a few things to do yet, but the computer doesn't seem to be begging for them, so I'm not in a hurry to load them up.  Things actually work better now than they did before, because I took the opportunity to jettison some clunky programs I was using in favor of something that works better, and I'm quite pleased with the result!

I'm worn out, though.  I kept my cool pretty well during the whole process of having the computer go down and getting it back, but I guess it was stressful anyway.  Now I'm feeling the effects of it!  But all is well in computer land, and even though I'm behind on some of my projects now, I'm not too badly off.  If I can stop feeling lethargic I might even be able to catch up today.  ;-)

Sometimes these odd, annoying things happen for the best - since I've had laptops die on me, I've gotten much, much better about backing things up on the web (photobucket, email) and am even looking into Carbonite - $50 per year, I think, but it continually backs up every session you have, so, theoretically, you should never lose anything. We'll see. I have nothing pressing on my comp except icons and some stories, but nothing new - and I even do stories in google.docs now too, after a scary Word issue on my old laptop. My Career Fair nearly went BOOM, literally a day or so before being due, so no more just Word for me!

The stress is hitting now, so honey, take a break and relax - you, of all people, earn those. *hugs*

Carbonite seems to be pretty good -- we're using it at the Center and it keeps on top of everything. I use Google Docs, to. It's been a real blessing to know that all my stuff is there and I don't have to rely on my computer.

There's not much time this week for relaxing, but I'm going to do what I can to manage it, because taking breaks is a good thing!
