I have WAY too much to do today, so I'll begin with the important stuff.
Some of this I have already reported; the most significant thing is that Sean hasn't agreed to anything yet, and I get the impression from this that it might not be done if he does not agree; but that might just be wishful thinking on my part! I have put in bold the parts I think are significant. :-)

As of 19 July 2004, here are the facts:
Sean has been approached to consider a one-off Sharpe. He has not
accepted anything.
ITV have commissioned two new Sharpe tv movies from Picture
Palace/Celtic Film, the original producers of the series.
The two films are each 75 mins. long and, if produced, will be filmed in
India in January/February 2005.
If produced, the two films will be screened on ITV (UK) in Autumn 2005.
The new stories will be based on Bernard Cornwell's novels set in India,
rather than the Peninsular Wars (the setting of the original Sharpe series).
The two films will be a combination of Sharpe's Tiger and Sharpe's Fortress.
The new films may or may not include original cast and crewmembers.
This is the fourth time in the past few years that the idea of a new
Sharpe tv show, movie or series has been floated.
In other less interesting news, if I do not get a move on I am going to be in big trouble. I have many different kinds of tasks and duties hanging over me to get done before I leave on Thursday morning to go cook up a storm for 10 days. In an attempt to help me keep my wheels from spinning without going anywhere, here is a list of my goals for the next few days -- and I am printing them to be sure I remember what I am supposed to be doing!!!
- thoroughly clean the rooms in the house I didn't get done over the weekend
- finish my writing projects for work so I don't have to take them with me (one has a deadline of Wednesday afternoon)
- figure out what I am going to wear at this cooking jaunt, because it's one big hot kitchen in the basement of a church, with no AC :-/
- make sure everything is ready for a pack of guests coming during the time I am not here
- get a haircut
- get one more Boromir chapter written before I go, so I can wrap up the first section of the story
In spite of all this, I am feeling good; my BP seems to be going back down and my low blood sugar only gives me trouble sometimes. Thanks for your prayers that helped effect my healing. :-)

The Sharpe thing sounds interesting; I still haven't gotten to see any of them, but I do hope Sean agrees to be Sharpe again! It just isn't the same at all if someone else takes on a character that has belonged to another actor for ages. In my opinion, at least.
Good luck on all your busyness!
