Got this idea from [livejournal.com profile] boriel

Part of being on Livejournal.com is inevitably gaining a number of LJ buddies. Unfortunately, as time wears on, it's easy to forget where all of them came from. Post this in your journal and have your friends respond with how they recall first 'meeting' you.

I'm back at work today, and feeling pretty good. I have a residual sore throat and a few sniffles, but it's bearable. I haven't accomplished much yet today, except to rearrange the furniture in my office to make room for a HUGE cabinet of videos! Now I am trying to rewrite a brochure -- about Pakistan -- to bring it up to date. Even though I've been gone from there for more than a year, I still know more about it than the other writers in the office! ;-)

I was too out of it yesterday to put my memorable weekend down on paper, but I'll try to do that soon!

Well, I know we first met on the boards and then were involved together at FOTK, but honestly don't remember the first time.

I do remember the first time we met face to face though. Well...wait...do I? Was the Ren Faire the first time we actually met or was it that time you came to see the play with me and we had lunch?

In any case...I don't need to remember the specifics. I just know you're my friend and always will be.

(((Sandy)))

The Renfaire was first, then the play, then we had a second Renfaire, and other times together as well.

I'm looking forward to another one of those times together in the near future, if it works out!

I first met you briefly at the Ren Faire last summer, but the time that I count as the first time was when we met for lunch last December and TALKED and TALKED and TALKED.
I thank God for you every day. :-)

((((Kim))))

I remember that time like it was yesterday! We met at the door of the restaurant, and started in talking as if we had known each other all our lives -- what a joy to have you nearby! :-D

Boromir forever...

As we only had that one very brief and unhappily shallow meeting at a restaurant, I can't get in line with the folks who have had the privelege of getting to know you better, but I have always enjoyed your writing, your comments and your thoughts in general - somewhere along the line you entered our community on Middle Earth and became our chief Boromir fan. It wouldn't have been the same without you, dear Lin!

Wow, I think it's almost a year ago when I first met you at Sandy's. I do remember hearing of you, though, much earlier than that because Sandy would ask for prayers for you and your husband when you were overseas.

i read your boromir poem and knew that i had to use it on the swoonsite, and also knew that it had a double meaning to it which i found intriguing.

once i emailed you the first time, something clicked immediately, and it was meant to be!
