Sorry I haven't been here for a few days, but what with the holiday coming and going, I was kept pretty busy -- and strangely enough, I was tired enough that I couldn't really think of anything to write in my journal! Though perhaps it wasn't all that strange really; I've been working hard this past week, and while it was a good week, I still was under pressure from various things which occupied my mind quite a bit.
Here's a bit of a catch-up on things:
- Our guests the other night were lovely, and knew people we know, so that was fun.
- We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day; I cooked up a storm just for the three of us, and we had a quiet day of it. Yesterday we went on an outing to Valley Forge and spent the day touring the historical site. It was fascinating! It was a bit on the cold side with the wind, but the sun was shining, and it was a good day to get out.
- We went to Walmart and I bought a pedometer. I am going to set some goals for walking during the day, and this will help me know how far I have gone in a day. Today will be a good day to start that!
Today is one of those rare quiet days, where I should have uninterrupted time to do what I ought to do (work around the house) and what I want to do (go for a walk, write/research my inkling). I am still quite tired, so I may need a nap as well. ;-) I brought some work home from the office, which I need to spend some time with so that next week's deadline doesn't come with too much fierceness, but I will limit myself so that my fun time is not diluted.
