Speaking of soundtracks...

boriel's recent post about what scene goes with themes from the soundtrack, reminded me of a recent discovery.

After hearing discussion on the director's commentary about the meaning of the Elvish words that are sung during Boromir's last stand, I have been on the lookout for further translation of that, with lyrics if I could find them. Well, I found them at last -- and much, much more -- at the following link:

In the Amon Hen sequence especially, not only is the music moving, but the words that are actually being sung are enough to bring me to tears! And then there are the words to a song called The Last Son, featured in ROTK's The Steward of Gondor track -- **sniffle**

I shall have to get my headphones out and see if I can hear these words being sung!

i'll have to bookmark that page - i know the site quite well, the fellow who runs the site is on my email elfling list and is also one of the fellows who helped me with the elvish scripture on my site...but i've never seen that particular page before.
