Thankfully, I survived last week, and I seem to have accomplished what I set out to do -- though not without great weariness and some despair. My love and thanks go to all of you who put in a good word for me when I needed it (whether it was on the day or after the fact, it still helped), and to all of you who wished you could have said a word but were having time struggles of your own. Thanks for thinking of me and saying those prayers and sending those good thoughts my direction.
I'm still a bit bleary-eyed, but I got 10 hours of sleep last night, and I think I'm almost caught up. Most of the guests have arrived, and things are settled, and we are having a great time together, so that is a load off my mind. I didn't finish all my cleaning, but I have time to work on that this week.
My goals for the week include:
- finish a thorough cleaning and setting up of the last two rooms in the house that need it (i.e., the ones where I stashed all the stuff from the other rooms so I could get them clean in time!!!)
- editing and proof-reading a couple of things at the office that are due this week
- learn how to do the very frightening phone system at the office, so I can be receptionist on call when necessary (yikes!!)
- do some driving practice with my son
- go see National Treasure one more time with my son, while it is still in town
- help my son renew his passport so we are ready to take a trip to Pakistan if that works out this spring
- make sure I make some time for myself everyday to do my own things that help me relax
And for right now -- have another cup of coffee, put a load of laundry in, and get over to the office to begin my work day!

I really hope that you don't sarife the time for yourself if things get to hectic. You deserve that time, my dear!
