I spent the morning trying to concentrate on work, with the glorious smells of a turkey dinner and fresh banana muffins coming from one side (where they are cooking for the conference folks in the office kitchen just down the hall), and the sound of new candidates being grilled/interviewed by the leaders of the mission at the other end of the hall. I had to close my door finally to both -- but it hasn't helped with the concentrating yet. I can still smell those muffins. ;-)

It is snowing and it looks lovely! Though I suppose it won't be great for driving in later. All you PA friends of mine, drive carefully this evening!

I had the great honor of helping the computer guy with a computer problem today, hehe! It's a program that I am in charge of and I know its quirks; he is trying to use it, and calls me in when it won't behave.

I am being helpful to many today, in various ways, and while I may not be getting my own project done, it doesn't bother me too much. Things come up, you deal with them, and your work gets done in the end. Me taking time to help with other things that aren't necessarily "my job" makes everyone feel a little calmer around here -- and boy, do we need calm with all this conference hullabaloo going on. ;-)

My main task today is trying to keep thoughts of writing Boromir away long enough to come up with some kind of chart for keeping track of who stays at our guest house and eats what meals, for reimbursement. I know the info I need to include, but putting it in a form that can be charted and used is defeating me right now.

Did I mention that it's snowing?

The number of folk mentioning that they are ready for the next chapter is mounting, so I guess I know what my goal for tonight and tomorrow is. ;-) Not complaining either, it's been toooooo long, hasn't it?

"always leave them wanting more" , that you have done with your most excellant writing. Well worth the wait, and I am willing to, how ever long.

It's snowing here as well, big fluffy flakes - actually, it looks like fake mashed potato flakes being shaken from above. I have a feeling that any moment I will be required to suit up a kid for play...and why not, right? And darn, now all I can smell is turkey ~ how did you do that?

:-D

Now I'm smelling really tasty-smelling rice and onions... at least I get to eat with the crowd tonight; I signed us up so I wouldn't have to cook myself. ;-)

HI

Today was certainly a day of variety. :-)

And ooo, I like that icon! Is that Sean Bean as Richard Sharpe?

I am not sure, I just found it and liked it and thought of you. I wanted to some of Boromir/Saan pictures to use when I posted to you.

You are very sweet! I never get tired of looking at Boromir! I like that SB icon a lot -- he has such a nice smile! And I'm pretty sure that one is from the TV series he did where he played a soldier named Sharpe.

And that Boromir one is nice, too. ;-)

It's still snowing! I shall get to drive in it tomorrow, which will be interesting, but being from Wisconsin, I know how to drive in snow. It's just the other folks who I have to watch out for. ;-)

I so love it when you describe your days and let us be there with you. The sun is shining here today and I spent part of it cleaning out the fountains in our Garden of Ithilien. I always think of all my LOTR friends when I work in our garden, and especially you since it belongs to the Sons of Gondor.

I'm glad you are still working in your garden. I check your garden site every now and then to remind myself what it looks like. It must be a lovely place to sit and enjoy the birds -- and think about the Sons of Gondor! ;-)
